Scott Mills

Scott's Auburn Mills at 117 South Lincoln Street had it's beginnings in 1879.  It was owned and operated under a number of owner/operators until 1927.  Dave Scott and son Ray purchased the mills and operated them up until rather recent times.  As Auburn's economy was formed on an agrarian economy this was indeed an important outlet for the farmer and his grain crops.  The Scott family had sold this mill a few years ago but now it has ceased operations due to being sold again, this time to a competitor in Hopkinsville.  A tragic loss for Auburn; who can ever forget Scott's Leader Flour and Scott's Pearl Meal?
