Presbyterian Church

141 West Lincoln Street, Auburn Presbyterian Church

Built in 1932 on the site of the previous church that had burned due to a short-circuit in its attic.  The architect for this new structure was Thomas Gardner of Nashville, who also designed the Auburn Methodist Church in 1937.  This is an extremely intimate church; the interiors bespeak of their intended purpose and that is to inspire.  Many beautiful social events are held here.  Weddings in particular are popular.  One of the most beautiful weddings there was that of Glenn and Sybil Tinsley a number of years ago.  Miss Elsie Lynn Alderson sang as beautifully as one could imagine and a lovely reception was held in the lower level social hall which was beautifully decorated.
