Johnson House
123
Pearl St, the Adolphus Johnston House was built
about 1918-1920. This house is said to be Auburn's
most elaborate Craftsman/Bungalow. Adolphus "Doc"
Johnston was part owner of A. H. Aull Drug Store;
later, Johnston's daughter Mearl married Roger Clark
who would later own the Aull & Co. Drug Store. The
Clarks lived here until death; the small house at
the back of the property was built for Rowena Clark,
daughter of Mearle and Roger Clark. |
